Your email, and what happens to it

When you join the list, your email address is used for two things: to send you the first chapters of A Worse Thing to Carry, and to send an occasional letter about the books. It is never sold or rented, and it is shared with no one except MailerLite.

The list is kept with MailerLite, the email service that sends the letters. MailerLite records whether an email was opened or a link was clicked, which tells me whether the letters are worth sending. When you join, you get one email asking you to confirm; nothing else is sent until you do. MailerLite also keeps the time you joined and confirmed, and the internet address you did it from, as the record that you asked.

You can leave at any time with the unsubscribe link at the bottom of every email. To have your address deleted completely, write to chris@chriskwasny.com or PO Box 3871, Alpharetta, GA 30023. Wherever you live, you can ask what I hold about you and have it corrected or deleted at either address.

This site sets no cookies. It counts visits with Vercel Web Analytics, which records pages viewed, the referring site, browser, device type and country, without identifying you. Like any web host, Vercel sees your internet address to deliver the page. This site is not directed at children under 13.
